  <description>Coupling broadcast email notifications with SMS services can yield powerful tools for a variety of tasks. I first developed a simple notification app to help me score pre-sale Radiohead tickets, and later expanded this into a robust notification service to announce my son&amp;rsquo;s birth last fall. But these examples are just a hint of what&amp;rsquo;s possible. This presentation will describe the application architecture and explore future possible iterations, including integration with social media API&amp;rsquo;s.</description>
